When Your Mom Hides the Heirlooms
I've always loved the concept of heirlooms despite our family not having very many.
My mom keeps these three rings in a "hidden" spot in her apartment. They represent the only jewelry heirlooms she has from her parents.
A clustered garnet ring, a black onyx and diamond Men's pinky ring (we think), and a classic, three-stone opal ring similar to the one I've posted about before.
They all have very understated, matching boxes, which makes me wonder if they came from the same store or place.
Every time I go to my parents' apartment, I find the "hidden" spot and take the rings out of their boxes one by one. I've probably tried them on hundreds of times but each time feels like touching a piece of treasure.
