Vintage 1970s Malachite Dish

Speaking of green, recently I acquired two malachite dishes from Etsy. While malachite once felt like an old-fashioned, busy pattern, it now feels very fresh (maybe as if you brought a bit of nature inside). I love how the mix of greens are offset by the gold, wavy border.

Although I had thought the border was brass, I now realize it might be painted on? This particular dish was purchased from MapletonDrive and as the seller pointed out it has a "bit of organic opulence and cool". 

Currently I'm storing some vintage gold hoops in it.
