Purchases that have made me feel better (Gua Sha, Diffusers, Meditation)
Following my discussion of Have You Lost Sight of What YOU Love?, which detailed my regrettable shopping behaviors, I figured I'd post three purchases that have made me feel great. None of these are sponsored or paid ads.
1. Jade Gua Sha by Danna Omari
If you haven't heard of Gua Sha, I'd suggest checking out Noy Skincare. This skincare-focused Instagram page is one of the first I've come across that doesn't feel gimmicky or that your face needs to look a certain way (re: Botox/fillers). Rather, Danna preaches putting time and love into your skin and I've seen the results first hand. She has tons of Gua Sha videos and is definitely a go-to resource for understanding this specific breed of face massage.
One of my current, self-care routines is to post up in front of the bathroom mirror with my Gua Sha stone, "best skin ever" Seabuckthorn, a hot cup of Fohow tea, and a great podcast. As someone who definitely feels most anxious in the morning and who struggles with the boundary between waking up and starting work, this little routine makes me feel and look good.
(You can see that I've posted several items from the Noy Skincare store. I also have the Reflexology Tool. I've loved everything I've purchased there.)
As someone who is very sensitive to smells and suffers from anxiety, I've loved experimenting with different mixtures of essential oils to relax, change a mood, or even just act as an alternative to a traditional candle.
I've liked to mix lavender and rosemary when going to bed and zesty orange when gearing up for work.
Discovering meditation has been a life saver and there are many apps to choose from. But, Journey Live has been a game changer for me with its daily, live classes. Each day is a different, live meditation with the chance to discuss and ask questions. The live format of the class keeps me much more accountable and I try to attend the 8am class with Jackie every weekday.
Let me know if you try any of these out! Or discover something YOU love!
