DIY Vintage Wedding Flower Arrangements

As a Covid era bride, planning a wedding was certainly less than ideal. Even as we approached the wedding date, we still had no idea whether the wedding would happen. Because of this situation, we decided to handle the flowers on our own.

Luckily I have a very talented and generous sister who decided to lead the flower effort with her creative skills. We ordered various brass and copper vessels from Etsy. Some had prior lives as mixing bowls, vases, urns, and pitchers. Some were purposefully hammered, some were accidentally dented, all were pre-loved relics born years earlier.

One of our favorite arrangements used a vintage, solid copper mixing bowl with a brass ring handle. By the way, if you are like me and want to be able to see people sitting across the table from you (as opposed to being blocked by a tall flower arrangement) these low sitting bowls were a great option.

Time period: vintage from before 2000.
