2020: The Year I Started Loving Green

For as long as I can remember, I've been comforted by strange things. I've been pulled towards particular colors and numbers and when they pop up in daily life, I've always seen them as small signs that I'm on the right path. Blue has always been my favorite color and I love the numbers 7 and 2.

But in 2020, things have been different. I've been drawn to green. Maybe it's the appreciation of a walk outside after being stuck inside for so long. The color of bright green nature, the rustling of the leaves, the smell of flowers blooming. My senses have been consumed by green.

This year I helped design this custom ring using 14k yellow gold, Colombian round emeralds, and small, brilliant round diamonds with the help of JR Colombian Emeralds on Etsy. The emeralds are a bright, lush green that sparkle in the sunlight.

When I wear this ring, I feel protected. Though not an antique, it's a ring and a story I hope to pass along one day.
